The Fourth of July
Oh boy did we ever have fun! This was our first Fourth of July and neither of us are real big into the Celebration side. We love our Independance, but not huge in the idea of fireworks and parties. That said, we decided to head up to our friend Rebecca's house in Lake Stevens away from downtown and the gianormous shows and just hang out. It was great, we got to hang out with our friends from church, our pastor and right before we are leaving we got a call from Chris Carrignan asking to come hang out! Yes of course, so we brought his little Frenchie butt with us and he fit in so perfectly. Even began lecturing like the professor-to-be he is on culture differences between France and the US, everyone was captivated! No seriously, he is SMERT!Rebecca also took us out in her boat on the lake and after swimming from shore trying to carry 12 cans of beer and pop, we made it on and got yanked behind on an intertube. We got to go together and it was a blast, then Chris was up and he got tossed like a rag doll, even went submarining for a few seconds, but still managed to hang on. The finale was Kyle from our church who held on for over 20mins and would not let go no matter how hard we tried to get him off. Finally, when he let go, his elbows and knees were bleeding from rubbing and slamming so hard on the tube. He is an animal!
We also brought our new friends Todd and Amanda who brought Drew and Julie who are so sweet. We all had fun, played Taboo!, had some burgers, dogs and tons of little snacks, watched the fireworks on TV then we finished off the night playing a little Halo2. If you need to ask who won, you haven't met Tony. Then to top the night off, randomly we get a call from Pooba! We all drove home with fireworks filling the air from the neighorhoods. And so we housed Isaac and Chris for the night. Got to bed a little after midnight and all was well in the Seaward apartment. Besides the fact the cats were going crazy at 4 in the morning jumping all over Chris, but other than that, fun!
