Turkey Day.. Gobble, Gobble!

Katie and I had an absolute great time these last few days for the Thanksgiving Break. On Tuesday, Katie, Pooba and I went and saw Borat. Wow, funny is an understatement. Yes, yes it is offensive to probably anyone who watches it, but I always enjoy a good satire of our society and the absurd nature that we are all apart of.

Then on Wednesday we both got off early and had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast with people from Katie's work (Harbour Homes) in one of the Model houses. Very Nice! (That is actually supposed to be with a Kazakhstan accent). We then headed to The Seaward household and watched You, Me and Dupree (again funny stuff) and enjoyed a nice dinner with the parents. We then got up early on Thanksgiving and I got to play in the 1st Annual Turkey Bowl with our new church in the mud and rain. It was freezing, but a lot of fun. From there, we headed north to Mt Vernon to visit The Murphy's and got to enjoy a nice dinner of pheasant that was supplied by their sweet dog Sadie.

That leads us to today where Katie and I embarked on our first adventure of Black Friday, and I must say that it is much nicer being on the consumer side than the retail side. We rolled out of bed and hit the stores around 9am and got just about everything we were looking for. Even found some deals online the night before that were better than in the stores. Now tonight, we are catching up on some TV shows (Survivor and Grey's Anatomy), then relaxing with some home made Apple Cider. Tomorrow, it is back to the normal grind and doing things around the house.
